Privacy Policy
What personal information the application collects, why it is needed, who sees it, and the rights you have over it.

These pages are not ready to publish. Anything shown
as to be supplied is a value nobody has
confirmed — it must not be guessed. Still outstanding across the
policy pages: Support phone, Grievance officer phone. Set them
in src/data/legal.ts. Have the finished pages read by
whoever handles the organisers' legal affairs before going live or
submitting for payment-gateway review; this banner disappears on its
own once nothing is left unset.
Who is responsible
Megha Services Private Limited, operating as Femina Miss India Telangana, decides how the information described here is used. The registered address and contact details are on the Contact Us page.
What is collected
The entry form asks for:
- Name, date of birth and height.
- Mobile number, an optional alternate number, and email address.
- Whether you hold an Indian passport or an OCI card.
- Your Instagram handle.
- Districts of birth, origin and current residence.
- Four photographs: a close-up, mid-length, full-length and a shot without make-up.
- How you heard about the competition.
Payment card and bank details are entered on PayU's own pages and are never seen by, sent to, or stored on this site. We receive only the outcome of a payment and its reference.
Why it is needed
- To assess eligibility and judge the application — the reason the form exists.
- To contact you about your application, an audition or the outcome.
- To take and reconcile the application fee, and to handle refunds.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Submitting the form is the basis on which this information is used. Where a photograph or an application is to be used publicly — in campaign material, social media or press — that is asked for separately and can be refused without affecting the application.
Who sees it
- The organisers and the judging panel, to assess the application.
- PayU, to process the payment.
- Femina Miss India, where a state winner progresses to the national competition.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.
Personal information is not sold, rented, or given to anyone for marketing.
How long it is kept
Applications are kept for the edition they were entered for and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Photographs of applicants who are not shortlisted are deleted at the end of the edition unless separate permission to keep them has been given.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for a mistake to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw permission for its use — which will end the application. Write to the grievance officer named on the Contact Us page.
Security
Information is sent over an encrypted connection and access is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affects your information you will be told.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded video is served by YouTube in its no-cookie mode, which sets nothing until you press play. Pressing play, or continuing to PayU, means those services apply their own privacy terms.
